The Law Library provides access to and instruction in the use of legal resources to citizens and legal practitioners. It is staffed by a law librarian. The Prince William County Bar Association's Law Library Committee, an advisory body, meets with the law librarian to provide direction for library activities.
The law librarian may not do legal research, answer a legal question or advise any patron as to what the law on a particular issue is, what the text of a law or legal opinion means, or on legal procedure, court rules, or jurisdiction. Consultation with a lawyer is recommended with respect to those issues as well as with the use of legal forms and/or form books. There are links below if you want to contact an attorney. Computers are provided for word processing and Internet access. There is a 25 cents per page fee for printing copies.
The copy machine requires cash. Copies cost a minimum of 25 cents per page.
